A Display Violation occurs during a drive when your driver stays inside the lock screen for an extended period of time. When the driver initially gets inside the lock screen, they will receive a Passcode Violation immediately. If your driver continues to stay within the lock screen, for a cumulative 5 minutes (default setting), they will receive a Display Violation.
You can change the default time in the Manage Corporate Policy page by following these steps:
- Go to the Manage Corporate Policy page in your portal and scroll down to “Additional Policies iPhone”.
- Change the number of seconds in the “Display Violation Seconds” box.
- Click the blue “Save & Apply” button.
Your driver should keep their device locked while using Apple Maps and command Siri to use Music, Texting, or make hands-free calls.
Display violations indicate tampering with the device in a driving situation. A Display Violation can occur once for a single drive.
To increase or decrease the impact of this violation on your driver's score follow these steps:
- Go to the Manage Corporate Policy page in your portal and scroll down to the “Monthly Score Settings”.
- Change the point value of this violation and/or weight.
- Click the blue “Save” button.
