Using Waze and Google Maps to Navigate Without Receiving Violations on Androids

You can use either Google Maps or Waze to navigate without receiving a violation. You will want to make sure you have Waze or Google Maps already downloaded on your phone. You will also need to start the navigation routing before you begin driving.

Before you start driving, open Waze or Google Maps and enter your destination. Once you begin your drive the LifeSaver app will detect that you are driving and using either Waze or Google Maps to navigate. As such, it will not lock over the navigation screen and you will not receive a violation.

To avoid continue to avoid violations, make sure you stay on the navigation screen of Waze or Google Maps, for the remainder of the drive. If you close Google Maps or Waze, or navigate away from those apps, the LifeSaver app will detect these actions, and display the LifeSaver app lock screen. This will result in a violation for the driver.
