For your drivers with Android devices, you have the option to prevent inbound and/or outbound phone calls while driving. If your company has adopted a zero tolerance policy for phone calls while driving, you may want to enable these features.
Turning on the Block Inbound Calls feature will block all incoming calls while driving, including those occurring when the driver is connected to bluetooth. Instead of ringing, those inbound calls will go directly to voicemail.
Turning on the Block Outbound Calls feature will prevent drivers from making calls while driving, even when they are connected to bluetooth. When the feature is turned on, and your driver attempts to make a call, the call will automatically hang up and disconnect when the driver attempts to connect the call.
To enable call blocking on Android devices:
- In the portal, navigate to the Manage Corporate Policy page.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and locate the "Phone Calls" section.
- Toggle the "Block Inbound Calls" setting to "ON" to block inbound phone calls.
- Toggle the "Block Outbound Calls" setting to "ON" to block outbound phone calls.
- At the bottom click "Save & Apply".
When your drivers are driving, and these two features are enabled, they will not be able to receive inbound or make outbound calls.
