You are able to make changes to your drivers' information through the portal. Please view the paragraphs below to learn how to do so.
If a driver changes phones, but their number and device type stay the same, then the driver would just need to download the LifeSaver app on their new device. Once downloaded, the driver should then open the app to complete the setup process. Since the number is already linked to your group's account in the portal, no further action is needed. It is very important that the driver deletes the app from their old device, if possible, before installing it on the new device.
If however, the driver changes numbers and/or device type, a new profile needs to be created. If you do not wish to keep the driver data from the old phone (violations and monthly history), you can simply delete the driver's profile containing the old number in the Manage Fleet Driver's page. Then, add a new profile for that driver with the new number in the same page. As mentioned, you will lose the driver data collected on the old phone for this driver if you choose this route.
If you would like to keep the driver data, then we will need to link the old profile and new profile for you behind the scenes. To do so, please email our support team with the driver's name, old phone number, new phone number, and device type. We will take care of getting this linked on our side. Once complete, the driver can download the app on their new phone and follow the instructions to setup the app. When setup is complete you will be able to see the driver active in the portal with their previous driver data.
To update driver information:
- In the portal, navigate to the Manage Fleet Drivers page.
- Edit the information you want to change directly in the page.
- Once done making your changes, click away from the text box you've edited, and the changes will be saved automatically.
