How do I Avoid Violations When Using My Phone as a Passenger in a Vehicle?

If your group administrator has enabled the passenger unlock feature, and you need to use your phone while riding as a passenger in a vehicle, you have the option to use the passenger unlock button to avoid violations.

To use the passenger unlock on Android devices, simply tap the Passenger Unlock button from the LifeSaver blue screen. 

To use the passenger unlock on iPhones:

Option #1:

1. When a drive is detected, bring up the LifeSaver app on your phone. 
2. Tap the Passenger Unlock button on the LifeSaver blue screen. 

Option #2:

1. When you see the "Keep your eyes on the road" banner appears, pull down on that banner.
2. Once pulled down, tap the "Passenger Unlock" button.

Any time the passenger unlock is used the system will clear all violations for that drive, even if a violation was incurred before the passenger unlock was activated. This clearing happens on the server about once per hour. You may see a violation within that time but it will be cleared if there’s a passenger unlock, and no points will be taken away from your driving score.
