Driver is Still Receiving Calls and Texts While Driving

Blocking calls: iPhone vs Android

For Android devices 9.0+ you have the ability to block inbound and/or outbound phone calls. You can change this setting in the Manage Corporate Policy page for your drivers. Make sure you click "Save & Apply" at the bottom of the page to ensure the feature is enabled.

For iPhones, Apple does not allow apps to silence other apps. However, if your company uses a Mobile Device Manager (MDM) we can replicate the locking experience so drivers are not able to use their phones while driving. The feature locks the phones when the iPhone is unlocked preventing the driver from using their phone while driving. If you are interested in learning more about this feature please contact our support team.

If you do not have an MDM, we recommend using Apple's Do Not Disturb While Driving (DNDWD) feature. This allows you to enable the device to automatically silence inbound calls and notifications when driving. This feature however, does require driver compliance since it is easily gamed and disabled. It also does not allow for any reporting or notifications to administrators or safety officers. You can find this feature in the iPhone Settings app.
